Bofex – How the judging works

No less than 45 competitive entries were accepted.
All entries were submitted on the internet, judged on the internet by a panel of accredited judges, and can be viewed on the internet.
One exhibition frame holds 16 album pages, which means that the one-frame show is ideal to display a small or limited subject.
The 2016 one-frame national championship is jointly held by Frank Friedman of Knysna, who showed ‘The Allure of Diamonds’, and Eddie Bridges, a South African living in the United States, who showed a study of the Darmstadt Trials for new South African stamps, 1929.

Note :   This virtual exhibition is an innovation of the Philatelic Federation of South Africa.  Credit is due to the organisers, Neil Cronjé RDPSA, Emil Minnaar RDPSA, and Jan van Beukering.   The first public viewing of exhibits was on screens at the celebratory event in Bloemfontein’s Kopano Nokeng Centre, 22-23 July 2016.
