The Philatelic Foundation (Filateliestigting) is a non-profit body which administers a trust fund for the benefit of philately. Investment proceeds of the fund are used to finance or partly finance numerous activities of organised philately.
The funding has made it possible for the Philatelic Federation to keep its membership fees at a minimum, given the wide scope of services provided to stamp collectors.
The Foundation was established in 1975, originally as a co-operative effort between the Federation and the Post Office. The Post Office ceased its financial contribution in 1994.
